Ever been in a situation where you would rather be without your glasses? When going out? Or playing a sport? Advancing technology means that wearing contact lenses is now more comfortable than ever before.

At Jaysons Opticians we fit all types of contact lenses including soft, varifocal, gas permeable and lenses to correct astigmatism. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to provide excellent eye care and contact lens services.

Contact lens care:

• Wash and rinse your hands before handling your lenses
• Insert your lenses over a flat clean surface and not over the sink
• Always use fresh solution
• Replace damaged or dried out lenses immediately
• Replace your lens case at least every 3 months
• Handle daily disposable lenses as little as possible
• Rub and rinse monthly disposable lenses before insertion
• Do not sleep in your contact lenses unless advised by the Optometrist
• Never use tap water to clean your lenses
• Avoid wearing contact lenses while you have a cold or the flu
• Remove your lenses if they are uncomfortable or your eyes become red
• Always follow the wearing schedule advised by the Optometrist

Eye Care

• Remember to attend for you annual eye examination and contact lens check up
• Please ensure that you are wearing your contact lenses when attending for your eye examination
• Keep a pair of up-to-date glasses on hand

Contact your Optometrist if:

• Your eyes become red or irritable
• You have reduced vision in one or both of your eyes
