Although contact lenses have been around for more than a century, the past decade has seen tremendous developments in lens materials and design to bring even greater benefits to contact lens wearers.

Vision with contact lenses can be as good as, or better than with spectacles.
Contact lenses offer a safe, comfortable, effective, stable, and reversible alternative to refractive surgery. They can correct almost all eyesight conditions and are suitable for people of all ages.
Risks; Although contact lenses are generally very safe – there is an increased risk of infection with contact lens wear. This is minimised with daily disposable lenses and good hygiene. Always washing hands before handling contact lenses, avoid swimming , showering and water contact in general.
Wearing contact lenses can be life transforming in that they give so much more freedom and natural vision as well as giving great self confidence. Like all good things – they do need to be treated with respect, hygene is of most importance.
