Ryan Khaira McOptom Prof Cert Glauc – Optometrist Director

Having worked in optics since 2012 and qualified from Aston University in 2015. I have amassed a wealth of experience, having worked with both chain opticians and independent opticians. As the Optometrist and director, I always aim to provide each patient with a thorough eye exam and high standards of service. I really like my patients to understand their eyes and therefore will take time to explain any findings and answer any queries.

I am the lab technician for the practice, which means it'll often be me who assembles and glazes the glasses you choose! If I'm not in the lab, you can find me dispensing and helping patients choose glasses. I enjoy the practical side of my job & like to think I've played some part in ensuring our patients see the best possible with their new spectacles.

My name is Priya and I am the Pre-Registration Optometrist at Jaysons Opticians. I have worked within Optics for 5 years, with the last 2 years being within Independent Practices. I enjoy going the extra mile for our patients, with patient care and excellent service being at the forefront of my thinking. Outside of the testing room, I enjoy styling my patients in colors and shapes that they wouldn’t usually gravitate towards.

As the most senior & longstanding staff member, I am often the most recognisable and familiar face you'll see when you come to Jaysons Opticians. As a fully qualified dispensing optician, I know full well what it takes to ensure patients receive expert advice when choosing glasses & lens options. I love working for Jaysons as working in independent practice allows me to use my full repertoire of skills and to ensure our customers don't feel like they are on a conveyor belt!

Joe (BSc Hons McOptom) - Optometrist

I’m Joe, and I am the resident optometrist at Jaysons Opticians. I graduated from Cardiff University in 2018, and gained further experience in Multiple Optometry. I moved to Jaysons so that I could deliver high quality eye care in a more personable setting, and ensure that you walk away with clear vision and a smile on your face. I also liaise with Sight Support Derbyshire to provide access to low vision services, including home assessments, to help those who are struggling with sight loss and need extra support outside of the practice.

My name is Mark and I'm the Practice Manager here at Jaysons Opticians. I have been working within the Optics industry for over 10 years now and joined the team at Jaysons Opticians in September 2022. I love helping patients to find the perfect eyewear and ensure all our patients receive the best care possible during their visits to the practice.
